The Department of Science & Technology (DST) serves as the nodal ministry for implementing the RDI Scheme.

DST has developed the Implementation Guidelines and Special Financial Rules (SFR) of the scheme in consultation with the Ministry of Finance.

These frameworks were prepared through extensive stakeholder consultations and have been approved by the Executive Council of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
